Mystery of love

Well, to those who have found true love or who thinks who have found true love, this article is not for u! Haha... Anyway, I heard from my friends that "love is a subset of "like." So, if you say hi, make friends with him/her, its considered "like" but to go one step further, it becomes "love."

Ok, the question now is.... What is that step? How do you define that step! I really dont know T__T The best answer I can give is... If you are doing something irrational. For example, you would spend a lot of money buying a gift that you wouldnt want to buy without the presence of him/her. Or you can wait for a long long time just to receive an sms from her. When I came to this decision, the fundamentals of economics suddenly comes up to me and exclaims to me: "No trading can occur without both sides gaining something from one another!" So, is it totally illogical to do something irrational without any benefits (except maybe to hope that a single action may win a girl's heart?)?

People say, love is blind. Perhaps that statement is true. It may be so true that what irrational behaviour you possess when in love is deemed as rational and all worthwhile ^^ Which makes me come to think of another question... How do you know that the actions you do are obvious enough to show that you love someone? Must it be deliberate, yet hidden? Ah.... So many questions, but guess I am no expert in this... Definitely not ><

So love at 1st sight is wrong.... I would say is like at 1st sight and then plus that little step more, then you can get that substantiate the feeling of love at 1st sight. Am I right? Haha...

I so hope that I will be able to find the right one...
I hope, I hope...

December story

I woke up,
screamed,
and then looked at the clock.
Its the examinations!
I felt I have done everything I could for them....

In case you don't know me much,
this is a secret....
I do really care about my results a lot!
How I wished my examinations could just cover up,
for my poor grades I did during my CA.

Who to blame?
Me of course!
Play so much dota,
Play so much audition,
Spend so much time in chatting,
Spend so much time and effort for tuition classes,
Effort in my CCA...

The list never ends....
But if you ask me again whether all these are worth the time spending,
I would still give it a yes =)
Why?
Because,
after all,
life is not all about grades!
I am who I am because...

Dota has taught me the spirit of teamwork and we did win a lot of competitions,
Audition has made great friends such as princess, kam, liore, august...
Chatting has made me more aware of the surroundings,
Tuition classes have made me know how difficult it is to deal with people and stress,
CCA has made me a more confident person,

Keeping in touch with friends have motivated me so much,
that I never once,
felt lonely in my 3 years of NUS!

一转眼,
exams are all over,
I went back to play audition and dota.
Of course,
I continued to keep in touch with my good friends,
and went back to my chatting in MSN.

The Penang trip was memorable,
Gary with similar thinking as me,
Mingjian with his ah pek look,
Xavier with his ever friendly smile and great stories,
Alvin with many topics to talk about,
Ah Heng with his unlimited jokes,
Xiaotian with ever energetic look,
Wenyan with her shyness but always willing to 配合,
Weiling with her nice smile and great organisation....
With all of you, it made the Penang trip so fun and enjoyable.

Christmas has never been celebrated in my past 22 years,
but its always,
I find it so meaningful to
send sms,
send cards,
give people a call....
Because, you all deserve this!
I just cant live without my good friends ^^

Is there more??
I shall continue....
I have a feeling that there will be more events coming up!

Did I really do badly for my semester?
I guess its really true...
But never mind,
I shall promise myself to work hard,
and try to reduce my playing time,
for a better future!
Haha....

Merry Christmas!!

Though I am not a strong advocate of celebrating Christmas, for this one, I decided to make an effort to send out some cards and nice sms to thank all those who I still keep in touch with =P Also, I had a lunch with Esther and it's really so nice for her to prepare a Christmas card for me also! ^^ Glad that we can still talk so much though I seldom see her in lessons =/

Haha, really received many many smses... Even at the 12am timing! Many thanks to all ^^ Even China students whom I havent keep in touch with for a long time sent me great blessings!

This Christmas I felt blessed because I have all of you in my life ^^

Penang trip

So here I am... Back from Penang ^^ How's Penang, I shall summarise in the sentence:" Little things to buy and play, enjoyable because of the people whom I went with!" The 9 people who went were Gary, Xavier, Kah Heng, Ming Jian, Weiling, Xiaotian, Wenyan, Alvin and me! 1st day was really lucky for us because the taxi drivers we met actually stated a price that was too low that no taxi drivers should say.. Haha... Somehow we got a rather discounted rate for our taxi ride from airport to hotel ^^ When we reached the hotel, we had to pay for the hotel fees upfront, which was pretty unexpected because we thought the transaction should be through internet credit card =P Haha... Some people didnt bring enough money and had to draw money using visa or Singapore money...

The hotel (Crown Jewel) was nice to stay in, and the service was good. Nice scenery of the beach also! Immediately, we rushed off to the central (George town).. I guess the girls do really like to shop and no chance should be wasted >< As for me, I thought they were so energetic to quickly rush off to shop =P KR old liao~ Haha... Anyway, we visited Komta, reputable for its high storey shopping mall.... Apparently, there wasnt anything much to shop - To my great surprise! The surroundings was pretty quiet!!! We decided to walk along shophouses and went to the famous street "M. street" (Forgot how to spell ><) Oh well, somehow the map really doesnt show what we should see on the real surroundings T__T and as expected, we got lost... Haha... Getting lost wasnt a great problem since we could still talk to each other. This bunch of people are really talkative =P So, I didnt grumble much about it...

Eventually, we reached the place and well, the place didnt have much stores to even eat! We eventually settled for a nearby coffee shop and ate our 1st dinner in Penang. Penang laksa, popiah +++ Didnt have much time after that and so, we went back to hotel after struggling to buy sandals for some who never bring them -.-"

Next day was fun... After a hearty meal at the hotel itself, we went for our 1st destination... The initial plan was actually to kayak but the wave was just too big... In the end, we tried para-sailing and jet-ski which is really quite fun also! I especially like the jet-ski because Xavier control of the machine rocks! Super exciting!!!!! But too bad, Alvin never even take a photo of us cos he didnt know how to use the camera
-.-" Haha... As a punishment, we just threw him into the waters. It was really hilarious. Later, we went to the seashore and picked seashells. I really love this activity, because I always think that this activity is soooo romantic and sooooo meaningful! Hearing the sound of the sea-waves is really so comforting ^^ Guess if I ever do want to go on a date, my first choice should be by the seaside =P Sure make your heart melt.... Haha....

Later, we changed up in the hotel and headed towards the plaza for a shopping trip. Some of us do have gifts in mind and so, we splitted up and went to different shops, looking for different gifts. For me, I bought a shirt.... And thats all.... Cant think of anything else to buy =P Headed to a night street and its just like our Singapore Pasar malam.... So, it doesnt really interest me, though the items they sell are relatively cheap as compared to the big shopping centres. Went back to our hotel again and played our favourite game we say 真心大告白!The game is simple - The person with the biggest number can ask the smallest number any question and the person replying must be truthful. We had a great talk using the game as a "facilitator" to explore more about Gary and Ming Jian =P

Next day, we travelled around booking a van. We visited the fabric shop, fruit forest, temple, and the toy museum. All these places are memorable, especially the temple, cos its really very 壮观!At night, we had a very good dinner and after a final burst of shopping, we went back hotel and we had a great talk about our past relationships and what women do look out for in their future husbands. Men expectations, how to detect cues and signals and many topics on developing good lasting relationships were discussed =P Really liked that session a lot. Also played some personality games and overall, I found it very meaningful ^^

Last day of the trip, we took a van and headed back home, singing our hearts out, chatting about everything under the sun and even ran to the airport realising we might just be late for the flight! Haha... All these memories, I shall keep it to my heart.

Thanks all for coming to the trip. We shall plan for another one yeah? Hehe... Everyone did make me feel comfortable though I am in a foreign land ^^ See ya guys and gals in school again and lets work hard together! ^^

SLC

I am back from the camp! Should I say finally? Hahas. Overall the student leader camp is a fulfilling trip for me, though I would say that its not as good as the science orientation camp I had 2 years ago. However, I did have fun, because it was a camp which I really knew nobody and I really like the feeling of knowing new people. Who knows, anyone of them may have a great influence in your life later!

The camp was fun, thanks to the faciliators, Run Yan, Michelle, Shiying and Cynthia. They did put in effort to entertain and amuse us. Trust me, I did learn a lot of stuff from them too ^^ Of course, I didnt forget the campers too! Chek Wee, Kenny, Kane, Zhenxian, Michelle, Norman, Shane, Xinjian and some others whom I may fail to acknowledge =P

The 1st day started off with ice-breakers and believe it a not, I got forfeited cos I lost in an Indian poker game ><! We did have fun and shortly after, we had our 1st game, the "monopoly," basically a game which consists of game stations... However, we did walk a lot T__T and I think we walked from 2pm to 6pm non-stop. Lol... But its a gd excercise for me, considering I havent run that long =P We had our dinner buffet and proceeded on with our Dinner and Dance. Basically, its a mass dance segment with couple dances. I met a girl who is v.friendly (Still cant remember her name >< Sorry!) and tried dancing with all other assigned couples. It was really fun because I did pick up the dance quickly and so is my partner ^^ Eventually, every guy presented a rose as a gift of appreciation and we did have a picture together... Dont know whether I will be able to get the photograph though T__T

Next day morning was breakfast followed by a leadership course by Martin Tan. Trust me, hes a good lecturer and I did learn a lot from him. Learnt that leadership is really exerting influence and not exerting power... Also, there were nice games to show how to communicate effectively between guys and girls. Shall not bore u all with the lecture contents =P There was also a talk conducted by SDU to encourage leaders to create environment for guys and girls to interact more and I did learn something from them too!

This was followed by beach games! And our team managed to win quite a few games ^^ I guess I am really a great catcher for ball games since I have such long hands!!! Haha~ This was followed by a food making contest, where we are given only bread and vegetables to create something asthethic and nice to eat. I was amazed by the skills of Cynthia and Shane.... They managed to create such a beautiful plate of food with limited resources! I will never forget this incident because eventually, we were awarded 1st in the food making competition among all other 9 teams!!! Wonderful!!!

Next, we had our Oscar awards and we were allocated to act out 50 first dates >< I was the actor of the skid and am the father of the daughter with amneisa... Haha... The ending was stupid enough since I was supposed to kill my own daughter >< LOL! Everyone said that I acted quite well =P Though I didnt win the best actor award or the best film award, I was still happy that the skid turned out to be funny... After the Oscar award, we proceeded to play games, truth or dare.... Somehow, I was so lucky that I wasnt even forfeited once out of 20 over games! From their truth statements, I also learnt a lot on maintaining relationships, what people face in relationships, what people look out for, what actions should people avoid +++

I was so energetic that I didnt sleep the whole night!

That marks the end of the SLC. Come to think of it, it wasnt a wasted trip after all, though its quite expensive... Haha...

Difference between luck and good luck

I was reading a book today when I was travelling to school. The book title was "Good Luck." Let's be frank... Everyone wants good luck in their lives and of course, this is why I borrowed this book ^^

You may think that this book is about finding ways to have good luck right?

Then you are so wrong.... Haha!

In fact, this book is about why some people have good luck while others do not have! The book aims to differentiate luck and good luck. In fact I was amazed at their story and there are actually many instances where people have luck but it actually, seldom lasts. However, good luck is actually about creating the conditions for the "luck" factor to come, and when it really comes, then you will enjoy the benefits of the luck. Sounds complicated huh?

But if u really think about it, Bill Gates did not become rich just because he had great luck. He created the conditions for the "luck" factor to come, and when it comes, people simply say, he was lucky....

Another instance: The book stated 90% of the ppl who win the lottery went broke eventually... So the book explains, you can have luck, but it wont stay if its not good luck!

Interesting viewpoint... And the story really nice.... I enjoyed it a lot

Signing off....
Haha!

Exams are finally over!

Yippeeeeee. This semester has finally came to an end! But I guess is the beginning of another semester v.soon on January =P Before that, I will surely enjoy my December holidays. First I have a Penang trip scheduled on the 18th and secondly I have a student leader camp next week! Of course, there will also be meet ups for my cca. Cant wait for the trip ^^

As for exams, I just hope I dont fall to 4.50 cap T_T Pray hard.... Haha. I did try my v.best though, so no regrets!

So the rest of the time, I will be trying out a relatively new game called "Audition." It's mostly played by people around 14 years old but somehow, I find it interesting... Haha, maybe it's the interesting people I meet in the game itself that motivates me to play with them. They may be v.young, but their thoughts, somehow seem to be quite matured and you may be surprised at what they present to you! The more I think about it, the more I think is the people I encounter that makes the game interesting....

From the game, there's Liore (The kind-hearted gal), August_gal (The clever detective and chatty 妹), Kam (The funny and chatty gal), Kaori (The pretty gal), Kamego1 (The motivated 妹),yinno (My shifu), kaidii (The angel), sijia (The Princess) and xGurlX (The famous gal). These people are interesting people indeed ^^

I shall say gd night for now. Stay tuned to more at a later date =P
